Nick Freeman is best known as a celebrity motoring lawyer, nicknamed Mr Loophole, and resulting in him being named as the second most mentioned lawyer in the UK. A pupil of Uppingham School in Rutland, he did originally consider a career as a professional golfer but decided to study law at Nottingham Trent Poly where he gained a BA Honours. He took his professional exams at Chester Law School and was employed by Greater Manchester Police as a prosecuting solicitor, before joining Burton & Co in 1983 and becoming equity partner. He founded Freeman & Co in 1999 and although his areas of expertise cover all types of criminal law, he is best known for defending celebrities accused of driving offences. His first high profile client was Sir Alex Ferguson quickly followed by David Beckham, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Ronnie O’Sullivan, Colin Montgomerie, Paul Ince, Wayne Rooney, Sue Johnston, Steve McFadden, Jessie Wallace, Jo Cole, Jeremy Clarkson and Caprice.
His TV credits include Tonight With Trevor MacDonald (twice), Close Up North West, Vanessa Feltz Show, Alan Titchmarsh Show, ITN, and BBC News 24. Nick has also appeared on numerous radio shows including BBC Radio Four, BBC Radio Five Live, BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Radio, Lancashire, BBC Radio Three.
His hobbies include Golf (3 handicap) rigorous exercise with his two Staffordshire Bull Terriers, cars and driving.
